This stunning architecturally designed beach house in Mermaid Beach, Queensland was a knock down and rebuild project that is fully cladded in 150 mm boards to give the full effect of a beach house.

It has a lot of excellent timber work done to the structure of the house. Feature stone wall flowing from the first floor all the way to the top of the second story and a counter levered balcony so you can see the beach. The custom front entry door is over 400 years old and hardwood quila feature post to the front and the back of the house. Pitched feature ceiling in the upstairs master bedroom and also upstairs rumpus/void area. ABI interiors tapware throughout the house.

In this case, a knock down and rebuild was exactly what this house needed to take full advantage of their Mermaid Beach location!

We approached two builders and after a 6 week process chose CMR Constructions to undertake a major renovation of our canal side property in Mermaid Waters. Using architects plans as the base we agreed a fixed price contract and a delivery date. We then left the country for 5 months and Cameron and his team took over.
